Pyramids of Khafre and Khufu.

Pyramids of Khafre and Khufu.

Description : Khufu was 146.5 m. (481 ft) high in ancient times, and today stands at 138.8 meters (455 ft). The faint outline of poles at the top represent the height of the pyramid if it was not missing the capstone. It is the Great Pyramid of Giza.

Khafre, which in this photo appears taller is 136.4 m. (448 ft) tall. But sits on bedrock 10 m. (33 ft) higher than Khufu’s pyramid, which makes it appear to be taller.
